Classical gardens

Make time for classical gardens with a route that suits your interests and pace. Combine the well-known sights with the local context that makes Suzhou distinctive.

In Suzhou, a garden can contain an entire world. Follow paths through rockeries, ponds and carefully framed views, then discover the craft of silk and the easy rhythm of canalside streets. A quiet morning in a classical garden and an afternoon in an old neighbourhood reveal a city built around the art of paying attention.

The right timing, a considered pace and local context help you get more from the visit. Specific arrangements, admissions and access requirements should be confirmed in your final itinerary.
